Résumé

Introduction : La prise prolongée de certains médicaments peut être à l’origine de troubles de la pigmentation de la peau et de la muqueuse buccale. Les pigmentations secondaires à la prise d’imatinib sont rares et peu décrites. Observation : Un cas de pigmentation de la fibromuqueuse palatine chez une patiente sous imatinib pour une leucémie myéloïde chronique est décrit. Discussion : Il s’agit à notre connaissance du 14e cas rapporté dans la littérature. La physiopathologie est mal connue, il n’existe à ce jour pas d’évolution péjorative de la lésion. La prise en charge consiste en une surveillance avec maintien de l’imatinib.

Abstract

Introduction: Some medications can lead to pigmental disorders of the skin and oral mucosa. Secondary pigmentations due to imatinib are rare and poorly described. Observation: A clinical case of pigmentation of the palate is described in a patient affected by chronic myeloid leukemia treated with imatinib. Discussion: To our knowledge, this is the 14th case reported in the literature. The mechanisms are pathophysiology is poorly understood; there is no pejorative evolution of the lesion. Clinical surveillance and continuation of imatinib treatment are indicated.
