Dear Colleagues, Partners, and Friends,
2024 has brought notable changes for our Society and our journal: a new website for SFCO, numerous young members elected to the Board of Directors and various committees—contributing to the evolution of our Society—and two new Editors-in-Chief for our journal JOMOS, Professors Anne-Gaëlle Chaux and Sylvain Catros.
We have also carried forward the changes initiated in previous years, with four webinars that were highly successful thanks to the outstanding speakers, as well as the Society's annual congress held in Nantes, which attracted many participants around a unifying theme.
We will continue to innovate and engage within our scientific society to further deepen our knowledge in clinical practice, research, and teaching, as well as to share our expertise and experiences.
New guidelines have been published on our website, some previously published guidelines have been updated, and many others are in preparation. Our upcoming webinars for 2025 are already planned, with the next one scheduled for Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 7:30 PM, in partnership with URPS Chirurgiens-Dentistes d'Île-de-France. The theme will be artificial intelligence, with presentations by Drs. Jean David Wolfeler and Didier Ernenwein, whom we thank in advance.
The next SFCO congress will take place in Paris at the Beffroi de Montrouge on June 4, 5, and 6, 2025, and will focus on tissue reconstruction in oral surgery. We look forward to seeing many of you there.
Finally, it is important to remember that our colleagues in Mayotte are facing significant challenges following Cyclone Chido. We remain in close contact with them as they assess their needs. SFCO stands in solidarity and is ready to provide all the support they require.
May this year, 2025, bring about new collective and innovative projects for our specialty, our Society, and our journal JOMOS. May it also bring you success in your personal and professional endeavors and, above all, good health.
The President of SFCO, Dr. Anne-Laure Ejeil.
