A 22 year old patient presented with painless swelling over the face since 8 years slowly progressive in size and causing disfigurement to the face. On examination, 2 complex swelling slightly soft in consistency, one over the left maxillary region and an another at the outer angle of mouth and are non tender. They are irregularly sized and shaped with no sign on reducibility on compression with nil indurations. Intra oral examination revealed no abnormality. The biopsy of the swelling revealed it was Angiofibroma which in Ayurveda is considered as Raktaja Granthi. The term ‘Rakta’ refers to composed of blood or blood vessels and ‘Granthi’ refers to tumor.
